Konecny + Boeser for Tavares

Hello all!

League in signature. Cap league, keep 12, 11 GM.

Went into a rebuild, you can see my trades in my signature. I’d like to make one last move. Tried hard to get Svechnikov, couldn’t pulled it. I could get Tavares for 2 of the 3 following players: Konecny/Boeser/Dubois. As Tavares is expensive, does that trade make sense for me? Even at 31 I see Tavares as a regular PPG player for fee more years. I wish some of the 3 players I mentioned could turn into a PPG guy… but I doubt it. I think I could get a pick advantage.

I need your lights! Opinion, thoughts on that potential trade.

If you are trying to rebuild, I'm not sure how much sense this trade makes. Boeser definitely has the potential to be a near point per game player - he's been fairly close every year until this year - so I would try not to give him up. I think giving up Konecny and Dubois makes the most sense here, but in a rebuild I would prefer to get a younger player than Tavares, or some picks for them.

Don't do this. Tavares is an asset to avoid in cap league if you aren't contending. See if you can flip Tavares for a player you like in an arranged deal if you were to acquire him with a GM or two that you trust to honor their word on a hypothetical deal. If that works, then make a move.
