Why is Kahkonen not starting?

He was absolutely killing it while Talbot was out. I get that they're paying Talbot a bunch of money and he's the #1. But Kahkonen hasn't started since his 0-6 loss to COL on the 20th. Have they lost confidence in him? Should I think about dropping him for DeSmith (I have Jarry and he's injured) or maybe Driedger, Petersen or Sorokin?

1. I imagine they don't want a tandem in the postseason.
2. Talbot has played solid and has the contract
3. He missed time with COVID so likely just rolling with him for a bit there.

After the loss last game I imagine Kahkonen starts tonight or tomorrow.

At this time, it seems goaltending is more a product of team defence than individual performance so coach is leaning more towards veteran.

I added him in all 12 leagues a while back and he hasn't played since. I dropped him this past weekend, so he will probably get a start soon. After tonite MN has COL and VKG 2 games each so I am not adding him back in the near future.

Same here - I got a couple great starts out of him and now he's riding the pine. And I missed my shot at adding Talbot, thinking that Kahkonen would keep at least 40% of the starts. Wish I had that moment back! But with Jarry DTD I might need to make some sort of move. Got any feelings about DeSmith, Driedger, Petersen or Sorokin?

OP, I'd grab DeSmith for the handcuff after the game tonight, unless you want him sooner.
