Is Nedeljkovic the odd man out in Carolina once Mrazek comes back?

I'm sure they'll ease Mrazek back in so I don't think Ned will be out.

I'd take Nedeljkovic here. He needs to get games in so Carolina can keep him. Expect him to start some, and get primary backup gig, if they are smart.

It's Shesterkin's net primarily for the Rangers.

I said this is another post about Ned; if he doesn't hit 28 career GP by the end of the year, he goes from RFA to UFA. Given Mrazek and Reimer are pending UFA's, you'd have to think Carolina would prefer that Ned doesn't become a UFA as well. And with the threat of Covid and the wacky year, if I'm Carolina, I try to get Ned to 28 career GP as soon as possible.

Yes. That means Ned will have to play in 10 of the team's final 22 games. So at worse, he's a 1B option.

Seeing as how this thread is basically a consensus to own Nedeljkovic, here's a question for everyone:

Would you rather be the Ned-owner who's targeting Mrazek in a trade, or a Mrazek-owner targeting Ned?

Does it make sense for anyone to want both (betting that Reimer is the odd man out once Mrazek returns)?

It's tough to say, depending on where the teams with the two netminders are at (ie- rebuilding or going for it). If it's a keeper, I'd think Ned will cost you more. So in that case, I'd rather own Ned and try to get Mrazek. As Al mentioned above, Ned should be getting at least half the starts the rest of the way.
