    Question Lankinen vs. Kuemper

    Hey Everyone,

Curious on everyone's thoughts on these two goalies and their futures.

My league is CATs H2H Weekly matchups. W,SV,SV%,GAA,SHO.

Obviously Lankinen has a very short sample size and I believe I read on this site that he faces some of the most close quarter shots in the league which should mean there's some regression but he's also making those important saves at the same time. He does have good numbers before this league especially in WC and in Europe. Chicago I believe will be better off in the next couple years than Arizona though.

Kuemper though plays on a very defensive first team and has had a very strong career in Arizona. With the larger sample size I'm leaning Kuemper for at least this year but over the next 3ish years? I'm not so sure.

    What is everyone else's thoughts?

I prefer Kuemper over Lankinen for the foreseeable future.

Another vote for Kuemper over Lankinen. I also think that Arizona will be a better team than Chicago for the next few years.

Kuemper over Lankinen. He's done it before and is on a better team right now.

Kuemper and it is not particularly close. Any goalie can go on a hot streak. Proven high end save percentage goalies are much more rare. Plus, as others have said, I believe Arizona has a stronger overall team than Chicago and they will continue to have the stronger team for years.

Lankinen still has way too much to prove to be held in the same tier as Kuemper. Kuemper is tier 1. Lankinen is tier 3.
