Jarry or Lankinen

Hey Guys.

1st team in sig.

Jarry was just dropped (for the second time)

I scooped up Lankinen but am wondering if its worth making the switch.

I passed on Jarry the first time he was dropped, but should I get in on this time.

He and the Pens can't stay this down forever.....can they?

Full disclosure, I'm a disgruntled Jarry owner, but if I were you I'd probably stand pat.

You already have 2 Eastern goalies - not sure you want to have all your goalie eggs in one basket (higher risk of postponements wreaking havoc, plus high quality competition in the division)

Looking ahead, Pens also only play twice next week (Thurs/Sun).

Also maybe PIT starts calling DeSmith's number more because Jarry just isn't getting it done.

I am likely dropping him myself for Lankinen or another West goalie (Oettinger, Raanta, Peterson) and let someone else step on the landmine.

I didn't even think of the postponements of games and goalies in same division. Good call on that one.

I agree that spreading the goalies around between divisions helps. Not as much issue with skaters, and the Canadian North division I expect to have fewer Covid issues, simply due to the nation being more competent at handling things.

I'd hold Lankinen here.

Not sure of your geographical knowledge but Lankinen plays for Chicago and that's not in Canada ;-)

Sorry, I should've left that aside about Canada out - just that I don't feel the same worry with Canada that I do the US divisions.

I'd still hold Lankinen because it seems right now that the teams in the Eastern division seem to be blatantly terrible about getting Covid protocols down: Devils, Sabres, and Capitals all have issues.
