NYR definitely tried to deal him, as they played him + 20 minutes over the last 3 games plus first wave pp time.
I'm stuck with him, so I'm hoping he gets claimed. Pittsburgh would be a good fit.

Oh man... bunch of stuff here I didn't know about DeAngelo.
Not surprising (learning this stuff) that the team waived him.
Good gawd... I never would've drafted him in a one-year league if I knew all this stuff.
Good offensive side to his hockey game - loved what I watched ON-ICE from him last year...
But... ooof... hot heads like this... not worth the lockerroom problems these days.

Best fit for him would be a veteran roster where he could be kept honest.
If I'm Ottawa or Detroit I wouldn't want this guy anywhere near my prospects.

^I agree. I can't see a claim. For all the talent, a claim says "Our organization is OK with (the baggage) this guy brings."
