- Ty Smith at #14 and Evan Bouchard at #15 are lower than where most have them
- My personal favorite, Nils Lundkvist at #19 (I just created his fantasy hockey profile if you want to see it: https://dobberprospects.com/nils-lundkvist/) - he's gone from "could get drafted" to "could get drafted in the 1st round" in a few months

considering some have Hayton near or just in the top 10.. yeah.. 27 is low.

And that's why average draft rankings are more reliable to get a full picture of the draft class, Hayton is ranked #16 on average.
Another interesting note about this ranking is that they have Ryan Merkley outside the 1st round. Some people are really high on him, some don't see him being worth a 1st round selection.

ISS dropped Merkley from the 1st round as well. Seems there's been some off ice concerns with him this year. He's shaping up to be a massive, massive boom/bust prospect people might be able to take in the 3rd round of their prospect draft, maybe even the 4th if he drops out of the 1st round in real life (depends obviously on size of fantasy league)

I probably value ISS the least. They really dropped the ball last year when they didn't have Heiskanen in their rankings at all for the longest time while others already had him in the top 10. That's just one example, though, as they've had similar issues in the past as well. I value what they do but they seem to have more blind spots than other sites doing the rankings.
Bob McKenzie's rankings at TSN are obviously the most accurate ones because he polls actual NHL scouts for the rankings.
Craig Button has Hayton ranked at #6, while others have him around 15. The last player I recall Button ranking 10+ spots above most other lists and in his top 10 was Matthew Barzal.

One thing Button does well is scouting prospects.. He seems to always get it right.. I remember he was really high on both Barzal and Connor that draft..
