    Default Vetoed Matthews trade

In a league with a bunch of leafs fans. Offering barzal, arvidsson, and werenski in a dynasty league and the deal was promptly vetoed. I know I got the best player but don?t think the trade was outlandish enough to vetoed. Ps does anyone have a league available to join. Lol.

If you gave barzal, arvidsson and werenski for matthews i don't think it should have been vetoed.

    That’s a completely reasonable return, that’s ridiculous.

Trades should never be vetoed, unless of course two managers are conspiring to split the pot or what have you. There is nothing more infuriating than a vetoed trade. I am in a one year league and had a trade vetoed and it made me not even want to continue in that league anymore. I won't even bother making trade offers because I feel like it is pointless. On the flip side, I am the commissioner of a keeper league and I have approved every trade made in the league, and let me tell you there have been some lopsided deals along the way. But it shouldn't be up to other managers to decide if the trade is fair or right for you. Trade are made between the two managers making the deal. There should be no outside noise. I'd voice your frustration and consider finding a new league next season.

Not this late in the game, but we run a tiered All star + bantam league at Hockeyforums.net

Top 6 from each league go to or stay in all stars, bottom 6 to bantam. We had 3 leagues, but lost a few this year and could not keep it

I disagree. Some trades should be vetoed to protect managers from themselves and the integrity of the pool. I quit a league because one aggressive owner kept shamelessly taking advantage of weaker managers by relentelessly bombarding guys into making a trade they later regretted and only made the trade to get the guy off his back.

As for this trade, it should have been vetoed for giving up too much for Mathews and not the other way around.

While I am ok with vetos that protect the integrity of a league, I see nothing in the OP even close to veto worthy.

I'd want the Matthews side, but it's not like Barzal, Arvie and Werenski are crappy or anything...

Another question is who does the guy have to drop from his roster? take them back? Don't see why should be vetoed.
Would trade be vetoed if it was McDavid.
