The emergence of MacKinnon is going to make this very hard. I adopted a never keep a C mentality as its the easiest position to draft. In my league I grabbed Bergeron in the 5th round, and there's always serviceable Centers on the wire.
That said I have 2 first round picks next year and one of them is the current bottom place team which should be a top 2 pick so I'm likely to get a player I cant keep back.
I'm thinking of trading a LW and my 3rd for Rakell and a 1st. He's a fringe team so it could be a good pick and Rakell is in Anaheim who has lots of off nights come playoff time.
What should I be doing here? Just going for the title or trying to recoup some losses and still making a run at it?

If you're asking who to keep, I'd say MacKinnon, Benn, Tarasenko, Holtby and Burns. One stud in every position. Can't go wrong there.

After the season it's fine to trade Holtby, but don't deal him in season. I think you want to keep that goalie tandem intact.
Moving forwards for picks and useful replacement players schedule-wise (like Rakell) makes sense.
