Lias Andersson moves from SHL to AHL

It's an interesting move but Lias Andersson has moved from the Swedish league to the AHL. I wonder if the Rangers give him some NHL games later in the season to see what he can do.

Interesting move. Rangers must be interested in getting him into their lineup soon. So much for all the haters that think he would never make it to the NHL all because he through his medal in the stands. I think this is a big step towards that.

I think the glass in the AHL arenas are a little higher than in Sweden and he wanted more of a challenge for tossing.

I think he'll be a center but he'll face tough competition from Chytil, so one of them could be moved to wing unless they want to have Lias on the 3rd line long-term.

I'd rather see him train as a center because it would be much easier to later transition to the wing than the other way around.

You have to think maybe this is the Rangers draft strategy taking the two Europeans, they can sneak them into the AHL sooner and not waste any development time.
