Barzal is great now yes, Steel projects as as #2C IMO, McAvoy is good. Saros likely takes over #1

There are a few picks involved but I'll leave them out of the main details as they're always valued differently in leagues depending on what entry draft format you have and what player values are.
Essentially the deal is Barzal, Sam Steel, McAvoy, and Saros for Kucherov and Pacioretty. I think the picks slightly favor the team who would be acquiring Barzal.
The league is points only, with 3 starting D, and 10 starting forwards and one goalie - keep 27. Which side are y'all on?

How many teams is an important question, how deep is this league?
A 16 player bench is pretty big. 3D vs 10F strongly favours forwards in this league.
I don't think the depth actually matters much here. I think the Kucherov side is the easy winner.

For those who care, I was on the side giving up Barzal. Its a gut wrencher, but when arguably the best player available in the league is on the table... you've got to look into the depths of your soul.
I've been retooling for a couple of years and have a chance to get into the top 3 this year - Talbot has been a very sub-par backstop for me though. He remains my only major issue to solve.
I could deal McAvoy because my back end is what's been holding me together - I've been starting D over forwards some weeks (permitted in the league) as Parayko, Provorov, Ghost and Leddy have been scoring at a better clip than the bottom of my forward depth - Connor Brown, PL Dubois (until now), Lehkonen, ect.
I made the deal, he asked for Zacha instead of Steel and I went with it - Zacha hasn't been in my lineup this year and I might expect Steel to arrive at about the same time I would get him into my lineup anyways... I gave up a 1st rounder this year which might end up being a Jesper Bratt or Danton Heinen depending where I finish. I received a 5th and a 2nd - I should be able to snag a Kerfoot/Kempe type player in the 2nd round easy, if not, better. 5th is a crap shoot but I tend to err on the side of ceiling in the late rounds - a la Barzal in 2016 (4th round)
I might be picking Bernier off the waiver wire this week.

Uhh I would pick Kucherov and Patches by a wide margin in the Short term and Middle term
In the long term it could even out if Saros can be the #1 in NSH.

Kuch side all day long. Barzels production could fall off a cliff at any time and I don't think anyone would be shocked. Kuch is far and away the best player here. This is a cheap price to pay.
