You'd think they would have recalled someone like Scherbak, who's earned the callup with his play in the AHL this season, instead of grabbing fodder especially if this is just a short term fix for injury issues.

Considering the way the other 12 forwards are playing, it shouldn't be hard for Scherbak to quickly become more than the 13th forward. Put him in a position to succeed. God knows the ones there now haven't been doing the job. Yes, just keep picking up scrubs to fill the holes instead of letting one of your young explosive kids try and do something everyone else has struggled to do all season long.
