Barzal, boeser, aho, Keller, hischier
How would you rank these guys for rest of season/beyond in my format? Positions as of right now: Boeser (rw), Barzal (c), Hischier (c), Keller (c/lw/rw), Aho (lw/rw). I think generally speaking, guys with wing eligibility have some benefits not offered by a guy that's just at centre. Now McDavid is just a centre, but he's a generational player so position doesn't really matter in his case, or for elite centres in general, but I'm just talking on average.
I drafted Boeser going into this year, and Aho was my rookie carry-over going into this year, but I moved him in early December for Patches. I am still interested in possibly acquiring Keller, and I've referenced the other guys as well (Barzal, Hischier) because I'm curious how they compare to Boeser/Keller.
I had asked about Boeser, Keller and Aho before, and a point was brought up that Boeser and Keller drive the play more than Aho. In a separate thread, it was thought Patches would be the better own than Aho, at least for rest of season. Patches has struggled, but recently shown signs of waking up, and Aho has 32 pts in past 35 games, after a slow start to the year. In another thread I started, I recall there being talk that moving Aho and a pick for Keller would be great, but that didn't end up happening.

This order for me, but with all the talent these young gents possess their value will often come down more to opportunity and linemates than individual skills.

I like this ordering, some would argue Barzal is ahead of Boeser, at least based on his hot stretch/Boeser going cold, but for the year I would say they are neck and neck. Some may put Aho ahead of Hischier given he is on pace for 67 pts, but his rookie year (49 pts) isn't as good as Hischiers so far (on pace for 53).
I agree with you about your comments on their values and what it comes down to.

Keller. He has done nothing to lower his outstanding prospect status from last summer. These shinier, newer toys have not passed him.

Boeser. That goalscoring is special. Hopefully brighter times ahead in VAN.
Barzal. Hard to gauge, he is doing awesome right now, but where is the ceiling? IMO not nearly as high as Keller.

Aho and Hischier I see more as 60ish point guys going forward, with a single 70+ -point season if the stars align.

You guys are nuts!! Boeser by a wide margin in first. Its not really close at this point. I After that Id agree on Keller- has done nothing to diminish his BUT Barzal has done everything to increase his. If youre looking at just this year Aho slides into this tier as well. Otherwise he slips down with Hischier. Hischier has the potential to reach top level, so do Keller/Barzal for that matter- but today hes a decdided step lower.

Only 1 guy here had Barzal above Boeser, and no one else really spoke to the margin from first to the next guy, and Axe is the only guy who did current vs future. Just pointing this out! I still appreciate the feedback though. I know it's hard to gauge how guys rank when there are similarities between all of them, especially projecting out vs just now.

Really fun players to compare! In my keeper, I own Boeser, Barzal and Keller and have traded away Aho and the first pick in 2017 (Hischier).
I would rank them like this, with everyone being really close:

Barzal
Aho
Boeser
Hischier
Keller
