Trade Marchessault
Hey Guys, so i'm in a long term keeper league, 10 teams, pretty much straight points, blocked shots but no points for hits. Anyhow, i'm doing terrible this year and currently sitting in barely 8th and not looking like i have a chance to make the top 3 money spots this year.
At the end of the season, we protect 12 players each with no restrictions on position and then have 8 rounds of drafts before the next season.
Another GM has offered the following:
My - Marchessault
His - Halak, 2nd, 3rd & 6th round pick
My opinion - i currently have Price, Helleybuck(which i'll keep both for sure) plus Bernier and Glass as my goalies.
He counter offered when i asked for Zadorov(TB) instead of Halak saying he couldn't do that unless he dropped his 2nd round pick OR instead, just give me his 1st and 3rd for Marchessault straight up. In our draft, if he finishes top 3, his first would be at best 7th overall if he finishes 1st.
Need your thoughts please.

It's interesting. I'm of the mindset that Marchessault is quite underrated, among casual and hardcore fantasy managers alike. While it's unlikely that he keeps up his pace, I do still see him in the high 60s range as a floor. It's likely that he finishes with 30 goals (or more) for the second straight season, and it's a sustainable rate because his shot rate is up from last year. He's on pace for ~70 more shots this year.
So it really comes down to who would be available at 7th overall range, and who would be your keepers at the moment. If it's the roster in your signature, I would disagree with the poster that said you have keepers that are as good as Marchessault; he'd be one of your better players for sure.
