A lot of varying opinions here depending on what you are looking at. Some will say Tolvanen because of his hot start to his KHL career. Some may say Kaprizov. Some will look at Igor Shestyorkin and his amazing numbers in the KHL this year.
Then you can look at the CHL and see kids like Heponiemi whos absolutely ripping the WHL up with 71pts so far in only 29 games.
Lots of great options. Lots of varying opinions. Pick your poison.

They're all lottery tickets. For every Leon Draisaitl and Filip Forsberg, there's a Michael Dal Colle....or Derrick Pouliot.. I've miffed on so many of them it's hard to count. Until they produce, they're literally a lottery ticket.

Good point, like a buddy of mine kept telling me about prospects "BRO, PROSPECTS ARE ALL SPECULATION ... SO MANY VARIABLES COME INTO PLAY WHEN IT COMES TO THEM. TAKE A PROVEN PLAYER OVER A PROSPECT ANY DAY".
I remember when Dal Colle was being drafted I was mad and thinking 'WHY ISN'T HE CONSIDERED FOR #1OA?'. Few years have gone by and he has yet to play in an NHL game. Shows what I know ... :P

This is why I treat 50% of all prospects as I own as trade chips rather than long term hold or keepers. For every Dvorak you draft and trade, you can pick up a Heponiemi, Kaprizov or Jake Evans to replace him - get a better producing player in a package deal. Like Kaprizov floats on the edge of this for me, all the talent, but 3yrs away... trade chip - or long term hold?
prospects should be viewed as currency to bump the value of your offer. IMO
