Default What to do with Eichel

    One year league, points only.

I'm sitting at the top of our league at 7-2. Do I try and move Eichel now? Keep him? Or wait until he heats up a bit and sell then? If I sell, what sort of return should I expect?

I have a stacked roster with the likes of Stamkos, Schenn, Kucherov, Voracek, Guenztal....

You can put him out there to see what type of offers you get. Even if you are in 1st place, if you can upgrade a part of your roster by making a deal with Eichel, go for it.

this.. but it's gotta be an upgrade otherwise there's no reason to trade him

My goalies are just okay. I have F. Anderson and Lehner (Bleh). I could maybe swap him for a goalie like M. Jones/Lundqvsit while also adding a decent Centre in return as well...

What's his value in a keeper league? Simmonds, Byfuglien and a 2nd for Eichel and a 3rd?

He's young, but is he worth the above? Is he a Bobby Ryan? I think it's a risk acquiring him. Hopefully i get proved wrong.

Keeper league I'd be wanting him. Very skilled player and gets a ton of SOG. Just playing with some crap guys on a crapy team. Have faith, and reap the rewards in a year or two.

ONE YEAR LEAGUE - POINTS ONLY

Eichel is sitting at 52nd in overall scoring despite his team havig a craptastic start. The only place he can go is up.

You said Lehner is your 2nd goalie. He is who I would be more concerned about. Buffalo is not going to get much better this season. They may go on a streak or two, but as they are right now they are not going to get too much better.

I don't know if Eichel is the guy to trade, but fixing you G depth will go along way to helping you to a championship. Sounds like you are going to have to move somebody. Dangling Eichel should atleast start the conversation with other GMs. I know if I see Eichel being dangled I'd put out a feeler.

I would let the other GMs know Eichel is available and see what kind if interest there is in him.

At 7-2, you don't have to move him unless you get an upgrade that addresses the weaknesses you have on your team. Be patient - you can afford to wait until the right deal comes along.

Yeah agreed, Not a kid you sell for pennies on the dollar. Def a hold in dynasty leagues and with his recent PIM explosion not too shabby a C2 in multicat leagues. I have him rotating in and out of my lineup. It's nice to have that luxury of a high floor play. Kids got upside. Don't bail yet.

one year, points only...to say there is nowhere to go but up is actually not true. have you watched the sabres? lol Especially if there is a fire sale and they trade Kane and yadda yadda.

I'd put Eichel on the block for that upgrade in goal....

I would want a top 10 goalie for Eichel....

If Eichel is going to suck. Now is the time to do it... you don't want your studs falling off a cliff in March/April when you need them the most. A superstar, or budding one, cold in the 1st half should produce in the 2nd half. So either buckle up or get a top end G.

Note that he is starting Lehner. And upgrade on that should be easy for trading a guy a tier or two below Eichel.
