Subban - I'll Rep

I lost Byfuglien to the IR, although he's not expected to be out long-term.

My team is competitive this year again (finished 3rd last year), although it's pretty bunched up between 2-8 (2.24-2.37 fp/g).

Would you trade a pick for Subban (a 4th), or just ride the free agent market until Buff is back, and hope he/Hamilton pick it up?

I mentioned some of the free agent options in another thread.

4th round picks from this past draft: Turris, Bishop, Crawford, Silfverberg, O'Reilly, Reinhart, Allen, Shipachyov, Spezza, Trocheck, Kadri, Carlson, Krug, Quick.

Not too worried about giving up a pick, if it means it will give me a better chance to win this year. Can worry about draft picks in the off-season.

Subban has 18 pts in 29 games, which projects out to 51 pts, but he's pointless in last 7 games, and no goals in last 13 games (26 sog).

Will the return of Ellis hurt him at all when that happens/would you look to add Ellis when he's healthy, or is Subban worth making a pitch for?

So you aren't too worried about his cold streak? Just when Buff is healthy, I'll have 3 d men and only 2 starter spots, but I guess I can just play the 2 guys that are hot?

I offered the other gm a 5, and he countered with 4, and he would give me a 7 back. He doesn't have a 7 in 2018, so I said 6, and he said yes.

So I would basically be moving down, but upgrading my D.

He is currently in last place, so his 6th would be 1st pick in round (71).

I have 4 fourths, my own (would be pick 52 right now), and the other 4 would be pick 48. We do a straight draft (as of this past draft), vs snake before.

That would leave me with 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 6, 7, 7, 8.

I won't be loaded with early picks, but will have an extra 6, and then an extra 7 from before, so will still finish in 8th round, and that's assuming I don't gain any picks after season.

With the 6th round pick coming back that is an easy yes. With some good research you can easily get a similar player in the 6th round 12-15 picks later than your original pick. Do it before he changes his mind

Great deal. Subban will slide into your lineup nicely even when buf is back. Huge upgrade as opposed to free agency I imagine at a very reasonable cost.

Yeah, free agents available I mentioned in another thread, although Yandle is no longer available.

Forgot to mention Ristolainen is another free agent d available, along with the likes of Provorov, Hanifin and others, but he's on Buff and they're a disaster.
