I think I would have made the deal as well. Talbot needs to find his game again but if/when he does, I do like him more than Bishop.
Made the offer of my bishop for talbot and it got accepted today. Third time I've sent this offer this season so sometimes when your trades don't succeed, try try try again.
Team in Sig and with Getzlaf returning soon I'll be able to swap Talbot onto the ir short term. My league only starts one goalie per week and I haven't started bishop over Helle forever and don't see an upcoming week where that makes sense. I figure the upside of Talbot and the oilers potentially bouncing back is brighter than an inconsistent bishop on a poor defensive team.
What do the pros think?

Yeah you'll probably be trotting Hellybuck out there every week anyway. I don't believe in Dallas whatsoever so it's a solid move.

Thanks all - rep where I could.
Feel good about the move and it's a funny league as goaltending is the least important position with only starting 1 a week (point differential is least amongst goalies). I dropped Darling really early for Helly (arguably too early) but it has worked out so far and will likely ride him unless Talbot pulls off what Price has done. Hopefully the rest will do him some good.

Talbot is a better goalie imo. Team-wise, I think Stars are more stable, with more depth, and will end up with more wins. But in this scenario I would just take the better goalie since the team differential isn't that vast.
