will he be this years Derek Ryan? similar stats in AHL before making NHL impact, if he could get PP time like Ryan did that would help

The opportunity isn't there in Minnesota like it was in Carolina, a team that was lacking established guys up front. Mitchell is likely in as an NHLer, at least for the foreseeable future. The problem is the path up the depth chart is a difficult one. Last night: 11:26. That's not being given an opportunity to shine.
