Im not afraid of him. Like a lot of players, it takes a bit of time to adjust to a new team and system. I think this is the perfect time to buy him actually.

I wouldn't pay a lot for him, but he has the potential to be a very good PP quarterback. If you don't break the bank on him, then he could be a great high reward option.Originally Posted by Axeman33

He couldn't make a PP with Perry & Getzlaf any good so to think he'll make NJ's PP any better is a stretch. I'd much rather bet on Butcher being a long-term PP fit for them.

I see him being a steady defensive minute eating defense so if that means he is a bust I guess, he probably will get between 20-30 points most seasons unless he performs he will eventually be moved off the PP

I dropped Butcher for him and going over it now...Butcher has done nothing since Vatanen came over either.
Im holding. I own him in a deeper league anyway and expect him to be a depth dman.

It is almost beyond comprehension that he can't even put up a single point in his last 14 games with over 2 minutes of PP time average. Boggles. Not even a lucky ricochet or bounce or secondary assist. Wow. He is not this bad, but all signs are pointing to him being an albatross to steer clear of in fantasy hockey at any rate.
