Default Please help me put together a trade..........

Points only keeper league. no bench players. drop 9 players at end of the year.

    Team in my signature.

    His team
    Couture
    Statsny
    Schenn
    M. Granlund (minn)
    Krejci

    Boedker
    Hartman
    Steen
    R. Nash
    Duclair

    P. Kane
    Hornqvist
    R. Smith
    Bjugstad
    R. Strome

    Burns
    Weber
    Keith
    Leddy
    Maata
    Del Zotto

I,m in top half of the standings he is in the bottom half.

Right now he is willing to trade Krejci and or Hornqvist for the right package.

What should that package be? Should I trade any of my good prospects? Tolvanen/Middlestat? Or offer him lesser prospects.
Maybe offer some younger players like Bjorgstrand/Aho/Point?

Or do you guys think that those players are even good for my team now and in future?

Maybe I should target somewhat else? I tried for Granlund or Couture but he said he doesn't want to trade them.

Thanks for any and all input!!!!

I think the general approach here is to figure out 10 or so guys that your drops will come from. Be willing to move any of them, plus prospects, particularly goalie & defense prospects that aren't playing in the NHL for upgrades that you will keep.

I'm pretty convinced that Point will not be one of your drops, so I wouldn't include him, but you are loaded at RW, and can afford to ship one of them off. He could also use a D, so try and figure out and offer to send him the one you are most likely to drop.

If you then add a a prospect, I think you can get a package together.

Antinson Yandle Baerteschi for Hornqvist Leddy

youve got a lot of dead weight. Atkinson and Baert are droppable. Unless you are in a 30 team league they should not be on your bench. Hornqvist will not put you over the top. Who's on your wire? PLD, Karlsson?

No one on our ww. They are either in someone's roster or rookie roster. Very slim pickings.

That is why I have some dead weight on my team but we all do really.

12 team leauge with 23 players per team. Makes for a very deep league.

Ok, so the goal here is to boost your teams production - while minimizing the loss from yours.

In points only, Hornqvist is a waste of your time. 53pts max - glass ceiling. There just is no upside. Krejci always comes with injury risk, but can give you 60+

For Krejci I'd offer Raddysh & T.Johnson/Haula or Ryan (who I think is just Waiver fodder anyway)

if he's not willing to part with Granlund or better then I'm not considering putting any of my top prospects on the table. Tolvanen & Mittelstadt need to be saved for either part of a package for an elite return or long term hold to reap the rewards later. Sprong I'd hold onto unless Granlund's being asked for or someone in that tier. Kapanen, Raddysh, Honka I'd toss in to almost any deal to push it through. In 90% of leagues there's another prospect available with similar upside (Troy Terry?) .

All that said - If you could get him to take Ryan for Krejci, I'd give him all of Raddysh, Sprong & Kapanen
