Nathan MacKinnon- legit?

so for several seasons now people have been waiting for Nathan MacKinnon to build off his rookie season and that hasn't happened then he dominated in the World Cup of Hockey & WC, now he is finally putting up #'s people expected him to but on an even weaker Colorado team then last year, if he doesn't put up any more points tonight as of now he'll have 25 points in 20 games, so my question is he finally living up to his potential and this is legit, or is he a sell him player?

I've always believed he'll get to ppg. He's only 22 and has all the talent in the world. If he goes over 70 this season he may not look back. And over 70 is looking more than probable the way he's playing.

yeah we have been waiting and he is here to stay, well atleast in my mind. I think moving duchene has helped him as it is now his team without distractions. he has a young core around him and they are connecting. I do think his totals might be inflamed a bit bc of his current hot streak but thats how players do it (10points in last 4 games).

As for selling high always depends on the return. right now he is on fire so unless its a slam dunk deal i wouldnt do it.

I?m in the same boat. Overjoyed Mack is finally putting it together.

I?m happy keeping him. I have him and Tavares both lighting it up atm. The only way I would move either of them is for an upgrade. I don?t expect either of them to slow down so much that it becomes a mistake to hold on to them. They?ll obviously slow down a bit, right now they are on fire so selling high is possible (ie the Tavares for Crosby thread in the trade section, which right now isn?t outlandish)

I guess I should have prefaced the fact we can only keep 5 and short benches, and I've added my team in my signature.

Anyways, my thinking was at the start of the year, this trade would have been laughable - now 20 games in you could make the opposite case? I'm always in favor of exploiting recency bias. Think of a couple of "darlings" stat wise this time last year: Galchenyuk 22pts (7th overall), Anismov 20pts (15th), Jt Miller 19pts (25th) then finished with 44pts, 45pts, and 56pts respectively. If another owner is going to take a two month sample and extrapolate and assume scoring pace over 82 games, then that's the owner I want as a trading partner.

That being said, I don't disagree with you. This one could bite me. Burns can't shoot 0% all season can he?
