I like both deals for you. The first one is a bit more of a risk, Dallas has the personnel to get out of their defensive funk quicker than Edmonton, but it's a higher risk / higher reward type of deal. If Talbot returns to what everyone expected out of him this year, you're doing a nice job of buying low. You also have the depth at forward to absorb the loss of Namestinkov, and I like the upgrade to your blue line with Hamilton.
The second deal really depends on the plus, but you'd be getting the best player in the deal in Crosby, so you'll likely come out ahead.
