I think I lean towards Schiefele here. I recently acquired Tavares and like that he is comparable to Schiefele according to some. You have to like Scheifele situation in Win. I am not as familiar with Isles.

Ignoring salary, I think it is a dead heat. I actually think Tavares is the better player, but he might need a change of scenery. I think Tavares has a few 85 point plus season in him in the right setting. I don't think Sheifele ever gets near 90. I could be wrong but that is my 2 cents.

Yes, I agree with the contract playing a big factor here. I would love to trade my Taveres for Scheifele but I really doubt the Scheifele owner in my league would accept.

Cap league, Scheifele no doubt. Even if Tavares can bounce back to 85 points and Scheifele regresses a bit the cap savings more than make up for it. Well, starting next year obviously.

If it wasn't a straightforward decision already, Tavares is about to get paid big time. Scheifele's expected production at that salary is a steal.

I believe Tavares is the better hockey player . .. Scheifele without a doubt has the better supporting cast ..

I would take Scheifele without much hesitation and I like Tavares...I just like Scheifele that much.

If cap wasn't involved, I'd say Tavares but his new contract is going to be deadly for cap leagues.
Scheifele in this situation.
