The key to winning fantasy hockey championship, imo... PATIENCE!
Yup I agree with you on that. I was surprised he dropped him so early in the season myself.

I have Waiver Priority Number 2 btw lol so let's just hope #1 doesn't want him or put in less than $100 for the bid

    Well... it's something to consider.
Your forwards WILL score more than defense.
You simply need to look at your full team schedule, set it for the next 2 weeks - say (YOU can pick any time period you want).
And see if you end up benching anybody if you were (say) to drop Butcher in favor of adding MaxPac.

Let's say Point(TB), Butcher(NJ), and MaxPac(MON) all have 7gp in the next two weeks.
    Here is my preference:
    MaxPac 7gp, Point 7gp
    MaxPac 7gp, Point 6gp
    MaxPac 7gp, Point 5gp
    MaxPac 7gp, Butcher 7gp
    MaxPac 7gp, Point 4gp
    MaxPac 7gp, Butcher 6gp
    ...

    Something like that.
That's all "scheduling"... which is something YOU have to figure out.
People have to bench their worst forward if they have too many, so that's the key thing here.

For simplicity, I assign the players a "score" - usually based on points.
For me, Point = 55pt player, Butcher = 35pt player.

    So Point 55x4 = 220, Butcher 35x7=245.
That's my "tipping point" for # games when I'm benching Point too much...

As for the points... are you using some kind of projection (Point =55px4 & butcher at 35px7) or are you assuming that is what these players will finish with?
8 Team H2h Cat: G, A, PPP, SHG, GWG, SOG, HIT, BLK
    Wins, SV%, SHO

Forwards: Couturier, Kopitar, B. Tanev, Debrincat, Wheeler, Puljujarvi, Seguin, Matthews, M. Tkachuk, Bennett, Marchand, Bergeron,

Defence: Chiarot, Nurse, Carlson, Fowler, Josi, DeAgngelo, Ferraro

    Goalies: Shesterkin, Bobrovsky

It's simply an example of how one person might see them going forward.
Yes, that's close to how I'd value them "going forward" - which is all that matters for the immediate future.

Yeah I haven't even THOUGHT about dropping Max Pac . Guy is a fantasy stud that goes through dry spells...i traded for him last year during one of those cold patches (wordplay is my favourite kind of play, unless we're talking Coldplay or foreplay). I'm just wondering if I drafted him too early as the draft for the league I took him in happened on Sunday.

Gotta love people overreacting based on two weeks.
Goalies: If I'm pickin em you best be sittin em!
