The third overall pick in the 2015 NHL Draft is heading to the #AHL. Dylan Strome sent to Tucson by the Coyotes.

I was never a fan, but hey, the A' is where a lot of players get it figured out. Even Jason Spezza dominated the A', returning as a force. Before that, he was consistently getting scratched in favour of Vermette.

Center is always a harder position to learn at the NHL level so it should be no surprise that others have appeared to leap him in development when they are playing on the wing. If the Coyotes are set on having him play center in the NHL, then getting his feet wet in the AHL is the best place for him to learn for his long term development.

People complain when kids get rushed and ruin their development, and people complain when they get sent down to learn because they didn't help their fantasy teams right away. People need to learn that this is the kids first year of pro hockey and simply need to relax.
