I'm not exactly bumping him up in my rankings with the news but it is impressive for the kid. I don't think he was projected by many to crack opening night.

I wonder if he can stick after 9 games though.

I would imagine their top-9 being something like this:
Huberdeau-Barkov-Dadonov
Malgin-Trocheck-Vrbata
McCann-Bjugstad-Tippett
If Tippett plays well, there's really no one pushing him out of that spot. Haapala is probably the next in line for promotion but he could also replace Malgin or McCann if Tippett is playing well, or spend the entire season in the AHL. Florida's lack of winger depth really helps Tippett.
Any reason Tippett hasn't gotten into a game yet?
They've only played 3 and won their last one without him? Probably that.
Tippett isn't sticking the season, enjoy Jr. kid... - work on that foot speed.

Looks like Tippett is playing tonight.
He threw 7 shots on goal in his 12 minute debut.

I watched the PHI-FLA game tonight. Tippett looked good. I think he was on the 2nd power play. He blew the doors off Hagg on one play. Made him look stupid with a toe drag. My impressions from this game only are that he will be a very good player.
Here is an article that discusses his debut. It also has a tweet of that move which embarrassed Hagg I mentioned. https://www.sbnation.com/2017/10/17/...rs-flyers-2017
I agree.
As Pronman might say "While he was out there, he was noticeable".
I've read & heard something interesting about the Panthers & Boughner.
Apparently he WANTS shots from all over - which is to the benefit of a volume shooter like Tippett.
On the flipside, shots from everywhere means lower quality - which is to the benefit of the SV% and SV count of opposing goalies, like Neuvirth.
