Don't like it for kids confidence
I listened to the interview with CJ this morning.
It was more like they want him to stay there all season, but his play will dictate that.
Basically, the same thing you would say of any young rookie making the team.
Anyways, I think he brings that puck moving presence that they lost in Markov and to some extant Beaulieu, but I also think a lot changes when Schlemko is healthy and Jerabek gets acclimated to NA game.

Not a lot of talk about Mete as he's not getting points yet but for the last few games, he's been staking on the top PP and last night got his first NHL point on the PP. Over 20 minutes as well so he seems to have the trust of Julien. Not sure about the points this year as the Habs are not very good but he sure looks like a keeper.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
Like a lot of teams, I think in the player's first 9gp, the team needs to find out if he can handle a "full workload".
MON has been bad as a team (good Corsi, though) and I think they realize he's probably better than their D7/D8 options.
Like Sergachev, I hope they keep him up for season.
Because they've been stinking, I think they can justify their decision either way on what they do with him.
They either "need a team shake-up" or "see great potential in him".
I doubt he goes back to junior

Yeah, I think he stays too. He's arguably their 2nd or 3rd best dman right now.

I too think he finds up staying past 9 games, but that doesn't guarantee he stays to game 40. That's a much more important milestone because it will burn a year of his 7 years of unrestricted free agency, and the Habs can use the much bigger 40-game window to assess how he's coping and to determine whether to send him down, taking into account how the team is doing at the time. Game 40 is January 2nd, so sending him down a few weeks before then means he'll have a shot at winning Gold with Canada at the WJC. During that period there might be trades to bring in a top 4 D, which might make it an easier decision - Bergevin is heavily scouting Isles games these days, long shot is Leddy more likely is a DeHaan, although they may be looking at Brock Nelson instead of D (those hoping its Tavares are dreaming imo). these factors make it more likely he gets sent down. On the con side, Canadians are clearly a win-now team so Bergevin is more likely to accept the 40-game hit if Mete continues to be a key cog and doesn't show signs of breaking down. Taking all into account, I'd say it's 60/40 that he gets sent down before January 2nd.

Looking really good, getting top-line minutes and PPTOI. Still just one point in 6 games.
That's the issue with dmen. Looking good and helping the team does not necessarily mean great numbers.

The new PP formation, with Mete as QB top of the umbrella and Weber in the "Ovechkin" spot on the left and Drouin moving to the right side, looked really solid. Now not only can Mete set up the Weber one-timer, but so can Drouin - he's a wiz at finding that cross ice passing lane.

The Habs can't be this bad ROS, can they? I mean someone will start scoring eventually, no?
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
