I agree, Stastny has become the cornerstone of Colorado\'s re-tooling. Wolski is a good young kid that can be great some day, but stastny is great NOW and will only get better. I can see Sakic-like things coming from this kid in the future.
I accidentally deleted both posts of a double-post. Oops!
Anyways - I said in September that I liked Stastny more than Wolski. He was consistent, showed heart, played a better all-around game, and was tearing up training camp.
Since then, he has only gotten better. If I own Stastny and someone offered me Wolski straight up for him - I would not be able to stop laughing. In fact, my life would be in danger because my body would not be able to physically take all the laughter.
Stastny by far.
 <- me, after someone offered me his Wolski for my Stastny

I agree Dobbs, Stastny has been pretty impressive so far, while Wolski has been (and will probably always be) completely inconsistent. I traded Wolski earlier in the year in a package deal to land Ryan Miller. Sweet! As for Stastny, you had shown him at the start of the season to have an upside of 85 points at the beginning of the year, do you think he could surpass that now? And, how quickly will he get there?

I prefer Stasny also, but I\'m sure I read Wolski have a better upside... can\'t find this information.
I\'ll go for Stasny. Peter was a great player... the son must be good.
Red
Yes, Wolski has a higher upside. Then again, so does my unborn son! And my wife isn\'t even pregnant! haha
There\'s upside...and then there\'s likelihood of reaching it. Stastny seems to be 100% going to hit 80 points one day. For 90 points? Maybe 10%. Wolski is 30% going to hit 80 points and 20% for 90 points. Higher odds at the 90 pts...but not even a sure thing at 80.
(BTW, my future son has an NHL upside of 216 points...let\'s give those odds 50/50)

I heard somewhere that Paul is Peter\'s nephew (Marion Stastny\'s son)...
For a while I believed it to be fact, but after some recent research, I found that whatever source proclaimed that as fact was incorrect.
Peter is the father of both Paul and Yan (born 1982 - drafted by the bruins in 2002).

Well, I took Wojski over Stastny last year, so I\'m sticking to my belief Wojski will be the better fantasy hockey player...
ALL HAIL THE NEW POLISH PRINCE!
Yes...I\'ve really noticed that Wolski loyalists are pretty hardcore about him. I remember last summer they treated him with as much reverence as Alexander Radulov once they drafted him.
In three years, we\'ll see how you Wolski loyalists feel about him! I\'m not saying it\'s not possible, or even unlikely, that he will be great. I\'m saying he is not as good as his owners think he is, and he is certainly no Stastny.

I saw the dude (Wojtek) dominate in Brampton, and in all honesty Stastny came out of nowhere, I mean Colorado drafted Ryan Stoa ahead of him.
And who knew a kid with skating issues would do so well in the new NHL.
So rather than accept the fact I was wrong, I choose to think Paul\'s rookie season is an aberration.
The old Ostrich - head in the sand theory I guess.
Wojtek!
Wojtek!
What year will your son be draft-eligible, Dobber? lol.
Who would you guys rather have in a keeper league
Ricky Romero vs Ervin Santana?
Thanks in advance.
Ricky Romero.

I'll take Romero's youth and upside (and potential growing pains) over Santana, who hasn't looked right since early-season elbow issues last year
