This is a settings issue. You definitely don't want each shot, hit, and block worth the same as a goal.
Buddy is setting up a league with the following settings:
Scoring Type: Head-to-Head - Points
Roster Positions: C, C, LW, LW, RW, RW, D, D, D, D, Util, Util, Util, G, G, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, IR, IR+
Forwards/Defensemen Stat Category Value
Goals (G) 1
Assists (A) 1
Plus/Minus (+/-) 1
Powerplay Points (PPP) 1
Shots on Goal (SOG) 1
Hits (HIT) 1
Blocks (BLK) 1
Goaltenders Stat Category Value
Wins (W) 1
Saves (SV) 1
Shutouts (SHO) 1
I'm curious about the bolded settings in particular. If SV = 1 and SO = 1 and W = 1 then its only SV that has any real meaning?
Based on Dobbers projections, Darling is the most valuable!?!?
I want to let the commish know if there is a glaring error in his setup. I think its supposed to be setup so that whomever wins the H2H gets 1 point for that cat but when I put the settings into FHG it comes up as total points?
So is it an FHG issue or a league settings issue?
This is a settings issue. You definitely don't want each shot, hit, and block worth the same as a goal.
Definitely a settings issue, and what you want is H2H category win.
Thought so. Ill let know him. Thanks!
this is what fantrax uses for their default scoring formula for h2h points leagues .
Skaters
Assists (A)3
Goals (G)4
Penalty Minutes (PIM)0.5
Short Handed Goals (SHG)2
Shots on Goal (SOG)0.5
Power Play Points (PPP)1
Goalies
Assists (A)3
Goals Against (GA)-1
Penalty Minutes (PIM)0.5
Saves (SV)0.25
Shutouts (SHO)5
Wins (W)5
That weighting makes sense.
Here is what you do... don't say anything. Use your early round picks on Matt Martin, Mark Borowiecki, Radko Gudas and stock pile goalies. Then, win the league with no effort. Golden plan baby.
