Didn't Rust line up with Malkin for the most part last season? ANy particular reason why you think he'll line up with Sid? Or was it just a fingers crossed hope?
I think he's either playing with Malkin on RW2 or drops to the 3rd line.

all right, he played wth sid couples of games in the playoffs so i was hoping he would begin the year on the 1st line

I don't think he starts there. So far in exhibition he's been lining up with bottom-six guys. Of course all of that is subject to change and he could be on a scoring line by the 3rd period of the first game.

Even with Horny toad back in the lineup he stuck on the top line. Things looking pretty balanced with Hornqvist and Sheary making up a solid third line so hopefully that stays. Rust looks like a definite add at this time. I happily snatched him and am nibbling on some crow.
