Keep 3. I came into the draft keeping McDavid, Kane, Kucherov
I enquired about Ovie. The response was "Kucherov" would get my interest.
I really like Kucherov. However, IMO Ovechkin fills more of our scoring categories.
We don't trade draft picks.
Is there a big enough drop off between the two to go 1 for 1 ? Or should I come back with Laine or Kane.
Or stick with what I have ?
His keepers : Crosby, Ovechkin, Hedman. He would like to make that grouping younger with the exception of Hedman.

I think I make this trade. Your group is so strong that having Ovi who I think in your settings can outperform Kuch by a fair margin this year is worth it. Worse case scenario he has another lack luster season where his decline looks even more prominent and you keep Laine or Tank as your third.

I'd do it. You win this year. If he plays like ovi u can keep him if he slows down I still think he ranks higher with your stats and you can keep Laine or tank instead

I like Ovi here as well. The only category where Kuch is likely to strongly outperform Ovi is Assists. Goals, PPP are almost even (according to last years stats) but Ovi really carries the peripherals.

I personally value Kucherov more despite the cats... but with Laine a likely keeper after this season, I'd maybe try my luck with adding Ovie and see what happens. YOu can always slot Laine in for Ovie/Kane a/o trade one and keep Laine. Good deal for win now.

I don't think you worry about keepers at this point -- since you have several guys (Laine, Tank) as mentioned above that will be considered at the end of the year regardless of this trade in September.
And it does seem like Ovy will be better in your setup.
I'd look for a sweetener though. Clearly the other guy values Kuch > Ovy. Exploit that. I rarely do 1-for-1 deals because if someone's willing to do it, they clearly see themselves winning. Who are his goalies? Any way to upgrade yours? (I'd be worried about injury with that group). Or his D? (Besides Hedman obviously).
Worst case, shoot for a pick/pick upgrade here.
