1st Overall pick in keep 5 league
League #2 in my signature.
People have declared keepers and the draft is next week. I inherited this team so had to make the best of what I had. keeping 2 goalies seemed logical since my forwards and D were "Meh" Pavelski aside.
Of players not declared as Keepers, the following guys stand out for me.
Wayne Simmonds, Rasmus Ristolainen, Nazem Kadri, Jonathan Toews, Corey Perry, Patrice Bergeron
Ristolainen seems to be calling my name. But if someone has arguments for others, I would love to hear.
I have a feeling Buffalo improves a lot this year and that Risto will benefit
At the same time, in a multicat, Simmonds and Kadri are intriguing. The other 3 are a bit older and not as much on my radar. But Pavelski is not a faceoff Wizard

Your keepers aren't terrible for 14 teams. I'm not high on quick moving forward but I think Barkov and ghost improve from last season. It should be business as usual for Pavelski and Holtby.
I'm big on risto and would probably lean towards him with your format. Probably between him and Simmonds. So. May depend on how valuable d are vs wingers and what other deeper players are available but I lean towards ristolainen myself.

I like Risto and Simmonds a lot for your league. Could you potentially trade the current owner a late round pick for Risto so that you can keep him over Gostisbehere and then use the pick on Simmonds (or vice versa)?

Ghost is NOT a keeper in this format. (unfortunate).
If you want to "go young", I'd draft Risto... who has emerged as part of the elite ALL-CAT defensemen in the NHL (Burns, Karlsson, Subban, Weber, Hedman, Letang... Risto starts next tier.)
Bergeron is a FOW-beast, and I love to secure a category.
But, you may be able to also spot fill your wings with some late-drafting FOW eligible guys there.
