Keeper: Simmonds, Atkinson, Ristolainen, Anderson
I?m in a 12 team keeper league where we keep up to 2 players for one year. Must be 6th round pick or lower. Categories are G, A, P, PPP, shots, faceoff wins, hits, blocks, goalie wins, saves, save %, shutouts.
My most obvious keeper is Patrik Laine but I?m not sure who to choose for a second. Options:
-Wayne Simmonds, drafted in the 6th round. I drafted him 61st last year and he tends to be ranked in the 30s this year. A must in a league with shots and hits.
-Cam Atkinson, drafted in the 16th round. He was a steal last year that far into the draft but I can?t see him matching last year?s output. Or his team for that matter. Still a pretty good option given his low price.
-Rasmus Ristolainen, drafted in the 9th round. Not as good as Simmonds but he contributes to some of the same categories and I'd give up less to keep him.
-Craig Anderson, drafted in the 11th round. With four goalie categories, goaltending is a hot commodity in my league. But I expect his numbers this year to be not much better than average.
Suggestions?

I like Ristolainen in the 9th the best.
You have a similar set up to my league and he and Simmonds finished right around each other. Believe he will improve on his numbers this year while Simmonds will be similar and Atkinson regressing a tad. Plus he is a defender which is always nice to have.

I like Risto also. He is young and so is team around, should only get better.

I like Risto as well for hits and blocks but Atkinson is pretty nice at 16th too.
