Default Yahoo HTH draft strategy pick it apart WILL REP

So next week is my draft. Look at my strategy and pick it apart!

Early like to focus on wingers on good teams ( +\- shots and goals). So plan on keeping Tarasenko, Patches, and Wheeler (3 keepers)

First pick Talbot if he is available, if not redraft Johnny Hockey.

Two of next three picks get goalie tandem. Should have Crawford, Vas, Freddy Anderson, Dubnyk, Quick available.

Then look to D. After Burns and Karrlson there are no clear standouts.

Finally get a third Goalie, Darling, Lehner, Raanta.

Draft centers last have seen Towes, Johanson, even Bergeron go late.

all the while following this "plan" looking for values.

How many teams in your league? I would be looking to defence earlier than you are. There may be a tier at Karlsson/Burns, but it's a steep drop as you move down the list.
Otherwise it sounds good as long as you're not getting too caught up with positions.

In anything but points only you should not be thinking Johnny hockey anywhere near that early.

Agree with EB - prefer to focus on D first (too big a gap between tiers if you don't have Tier1 guys like EK, Burns, Hedman). The gap between the tiers with Wingers is less, and the Centers is the least, as everyone knows it is a deep position, and you yourself said that there is good value for Cs at the end of the draft.

Any max limits for games played per matchup?

My draft strategy in this pool would be = D, G (1 really solid top end guy + 1 other mid-range team starter), LW/RW and C at the end. Of course, if you see a top end guy in a position available you pick the BPA.

Agree with your keepers. Best of luck!

Not a multi cat league. Goals, shots, assists, +\-, PP. You don't think he will bounce back?

IMO too many questions in the D catagory. Will Doughty rebound? OEL with Arizona are they improved ? Hedman for real? Shattenkirk and Hamilton may slightly above this group, but no clear cut difference. Look at stuntman's Dmen ranks all of these guys within 5 points of each other.
