Default Slavin vs. Zaitsev - who ya got?

I tackled these two in my cage match column this week: http://www.dobberhockey.com/hockey-h...ikita-zaitsev/

Normally I like to go into each cage match without any inkling of who might win, but in view of my piece for the Fantasy Guide this summer I had a hunch that Zaitsev would come out on top. Still, I learned even more about Slavin, and plenty about Zaitsev, along the way and I think you will too. Give it a read and come back here to discuss your conclusions and thoughts on each player, particularly if you own one or both. Also, let me know if the player comparisons I made to Slavin in the "Who Wins" section were rightful in your mind, and feel free to add any others of your own here.

Which one, and did it confirm or revise your previous thinking?

I'd agree on Leddy, who should still be a top dog. Hanifin doesn't have a season in the books like Slavin, but he's well positioned to outpoint him this season, or if not this season then next.

Didn't change my opinion. As stated in your article much of Slavin's perceived 'fantasy' value is that he is a really good real-life player similar to say the undeserved fantasy hype Toews received early in his career.
