i think ovi will bounce back and have huge season, having said that its great return and in year or 2 the true decline will start for #8

Yeah, without SOG and no kicker for goals, Ovi is not untouchable. I'd still want a guy with 65+ downside and 70+ upside, and neither Schenn nor Simmonds fits the bill.

Im thinking if ovi is a 40 goal guys.. schenn and simmonds can exceeed that.... they can both exceed him in hits as well as PP points.....

barring injury to either the two.... I think it makes sense to make the deal... just can't seem to pull trigger maybe im bias towards Ovi- 4 years left at 9.5

spec would be Kyrou or Raddysh- hes pushing Raddysh

waiver fodder = 40ish pts? I'd see if you could drop the prospect and get a bump on Schenn

Take that offer and run! Simmonds is 6m less and not too far off on points.

Simmonds and Schenn are about $9.1M combined while Ovie alone is $9.5M. Simmonds and Schenn can probably score a combined 110-120 points while Ovie probably gets 65-75, so the WW add would need to score 45 points for league minimum salary, and still the Simmonds/Schenn side would be better because they'd be a bit cheaper.

Ovie is definitely overpaid with your stats, so the only question is - how valuable is cap space in your league? And do you have cheap 45 point forwards on the WW for less than $1M salary?

waiver wire is weak... could attempt to grab Hartnell, Sharp etc guys like that but they won't get to me. i may get him to retain 2 mill on schenn to complete deal.

Is that $2M for one year or every year he has left in his contract? Either way, that would make this deal even better.

yeah 1 year which helps a ton... waiting to hear back from the GM
