I am not sure there's a big different between the two of them. I like them both. I do prefer Tampa's defense more than Toronto's though, for what that's worth.
If you are a Leafs fan, go with your boy and hope Vasilevskiy doesn't go off.
Not for team in Sig. Limited keeper (only 1 goalie)
Came outta last season having faired pretty well. Have a team that I think can compete as soon as this year. With guys like Crosby, Tavares, Wheeler, Benn, Josi and Risto being kept.
Full disclosure... I am a leaf fan often blinded by them. But in most guides, Andersen and Vas seem awefully close on projections with Andersen being ranked higher slightly in nearly all.
The you Vas I really like as do I like his situation on tampa. But his consistency... well.. he still needs to prove himself. Andersen lived up to all his hype last season and no signs of him slowing down short of injury which always remains a risk with Freddy.
So who's the better solo keep?
Freddy Andersen
Or
Vasilevskiy?
Standard goalie cats. Head to head league.

I didn't realize that I traded both Benn and Wheeler to the same team haha. I'm rolling with Andersen here, but if you want to take that with a grain of salt because I'm in your league, so be it

Andersen is more proven in the starter's role.

Thanks Eric and Lucafen!
Andersen it is then.
Preaching to the choir here, but: Andersen, I just think you are buying into a dynasty sure-thing that way.
I'm not sold that Vas is going to finish a top-10 goalie this year. I think they wanted Budaj for a reason and he will need to step in when Vas falters. I'm predicting 25-30 starts for Budaj.
Toronto has much weaker defense which will offsets another transition year from Vas.
Similar commodities, go with what you know best.
I think Vasi is the home run threat who could end up being a top 5 goalie if it all shakes out right, but Andersen is the safer pick and his upside isn't a whole lot lower imo.
Great feedback all. Tks!
