Drafting young dman for farm | Matheson-Heiskanen-Zaitsev

I'm currently drafting in roto league and have to choose between 3 defensemen for the long term, I'm set right now...

G, A, +/-, PIM, Shots, Hits, PPP

Players are: Matheson, Heiskanen or Zaitsev

Or I can switch it around and go for Debrincat at forward, he's probably the best prospect forward available.

Or I can drop down 4 positions and receive the last pick in the draft and pick whichever one of these is left?

I like Heiskanen out of that bunch. The others may produce better numbers sooner but Heiskanen should have better stats when all is said and done.

My mind, get DeBrincat locked away and go for the home run. None of Heiskanen/Matheson/Zaitsev (my order) are so great that you can't fill that prospect D spot later with something roughly equivalent.

DeBrincat for me. His output this past season along with Chicago making some room up front lets me think that this kid can be special sooner than later in the NHL.

At this point, all of these prospects have big question marks when we look at their future output (even Zaitsev) but if it were me, I'd gamble on the Cat!

I like Matheson long term from that group, with those categories.

IMO, none of those Dmen are going to be fantasy #1 on their team ever, and quite probably not even #2. I would take DeBrincat
