If the immediate production helps you this season, then taking Guentzel definitely makes sense. Even if you don't need the immediate production, he's worth consideration there. So no, you're not crazy to think about it.
I have the 1st overall this year for this year's draftees and players not previously taken. Would I be nuts to take Guentzel ahead of Hischier or Nolan? That's the way I am currently leaning...
