I'd rather trade Barrie or Trouba
For the league in my sig.
I trade: Gostisbehere and third round pick in next years draft (turns into a second if Hischier scores at over a .6 PPG pace)
I receive: Hischier
My thoughts. My defense is pretty loaded, and aside from Connor and Demko, I don't have an elite prospect.
You can see my centers below, but i'm only really working with Barkov and hoping Duchene gets traded and starts producing.
My defense looks good even without Ghost. Karlsson, Trouba, Montour, Morrissey and Barrie should be plenty to get me by.
I'm obviously hoping Hischier turns into a stud, and I think he can.
Am I giving up too much? Thoughts?

I agree on rather trading Barrie, but the other GM would likely rather have Ghost. I would make this deal.

(No I don't have a hockey problem...)
I dont understand why the need to add the pick on your side in a league that starts 6D. I can see adding the pick if you downgraded to Barrie.
I'd do it without the pick.

I would actually take a different route from the others who have posted and say you should keep Ghost for now. You'd be selling low on Ghost because he came off a down year and buying high on Hischier because he's a 1st overall pick coming in with all the hype. I would wait until mid november to have these trade talks, because its entirely possible Ghost bounces back and Hischier takes some time adjusting to the NHL, in which case if you still want Hischier you could likely get a better deal.
