Well, I think the treatment of Trump here has been rather unfair.

He is aware of all the criticism he has face for the in depth involvement of Ivanka and Kushner. He is worried that if he decries anti-semitic activities then the fake news is going to once again criticize him for favouring his Jewish daughter and son-in-law.
This is sooo clearly the media's fault, the man's hands are tied.

we're on the same side of this entire discussion, fyi--- but for all of our sakes i feel obligated to point out that if you take the approach to argue the validity and proper absorption of "facts" (which is the right thing to do) you kinda lose credibility when stating that John Oliver's show is legitimately FACTUAL. It really is not. Everything is aggregated from other sources... he's not on the ground 24/7 taking pictures and notes to report on things unbiasedly with exact verbatim.

It's the artist's way of saying that Trump is backhandedly slapping the veterans who went to war (and died) to fight against Hitler; all the while basically defending Nazism in the United States. How can you not see/understand that if you are debating others in this thread? It was pretty clear what he was trying to say to me.

just a joke on Trump's weak statements, why cant he just come out and harshly condemn these blatant white supremacists, imagine someone in ww2 saying "bad guys on both sides" in response to a Nazi attack. Albeit they'd be right, but it wouldn't be appropriate, especially from the Commander-in-chief.
That said, I am mighty sick of all these cartoons/gifs online portraying Antifa as heroes and just like the soldiers storming Normandy. I'm not attacking your cartoon axeman this isnt an example of that at all, but there are many being circulated by mainstream media people online using pictures from Normandy but with pro-antifa captions, If we could get all the Antifa members and all the swastika loving wannabe nazis in a Thunderdome and let them duke it out til none were left we'd all be better for it.

I guess it's because I don't see anything false with the statement in the cartoon. Even in WWII, there WERE good and bad people on both sides.

You don't think some of the people on Hitlers side were good people who were just fighting to keep themselves and their families alive? You don't think the side fighting the Nazis had it's share of bad, cruel people fighting for it? News flash, being a veteran for the "good guys" doesn't necessitate being a good person. Things are never cleanly good vs evil, and I completely agree with his statement that there were bad people on both sides (of the recent incident and in all wars).

Of course there was good guys on both sides, and bad guys on both sides but it's what each side was fighting for that matters just as much as who was doing the fighting.

If I have to sit here and explain to you why Nazism was the worst case scenario, and why defeating it was a good thing, then this whole conversation will take a much different direction. Wow.
