Over the next three years (basically until Josi's contract is up) Nashville is going to be a solid contender because of all of these long term deals with a lower AAV.
I love Arvie and I like this deal even more seeing that guys like Tatar, Palat and Johnson all got $5M +

Great term, great cap hit for a 24 year old. You could argue that Aaaarrvidsson (I'm having a pirate moment) only has one very good NHL season under his belt, but from what I've seen of him, he's going to be worth every penny of that contract. Next up is Johansen.

I had to reread the tweet when I first saw it. It had to be at least 5 million, didn't it, given what Tatar and Johnson got?? But nope, Poile locks up a solid contributor to his team's offense and assures that the Preds won't be a standings basement dweller any time soon.

He disappeared for much of the play-offs and went 1 goal in the final 18 games of the playoffs which probably didn't help his case in negotiating. I thought maybe he was battling through an injury/injuries but haven't heard anything come out yet. He might not produce as much as he did last season but he should get somewhere near the 30 goal and 60 pt mark. Fatigue could have been setting in too, he did look very sharp in the last few games of the regular season.
