Hey everyone! I was hoping to get a few opinions on who might be my final keepers in a keep 10 - points only league. Having some difficulty here.

I don't think there's a lot here to overthink.

Because positions matter, you have to keep the 4D and Murray. Then I think there's a gap in your list after Getzlaf. The only reason I see you doing anything different is if you are trying to build for the future. Otherwise, I think you have a very strong 10.

It comes down to the two in Blue:

Kessel - Pittsburgh has played a lot of hockey the last 3 years, add on the World Cup and there has been a lot of hockey for this guy... could result in a slower start.
Getzlaf - has had a couple slow starts, but man he looked dominant in playoffs last year.

If it was me picking between these two I would pick Getzlaf, but that might be my bias against Pitts.

In a points only league, I have a heavy preference for forwards obviously because forwards score, on average, much more than D therefore they're much more important in a points only league (availability at each position notwithstanding). Guentzel and OEL were easy eliminations here because they don't have the points upside the rest of these players do. From there, I debated between Subban and Werenski, but went with eliminating Subban because he has much stiffer competition on his blueline than Werenski does. Also helps that Werenski is younger and already at least comparable to Subban in point production.

EDIT: Did not see that it's an 8 team league. Yeah, in that case, keep all the D and drop Granlund, Guentzel, and Getzlaf like others are saying. Scoring D are much sparser than forwards so points at forward should be relatively easy to come by in an 8 team league whereas D might still be difficult to find.

Thanks for the responses so far everyone! It's nice to see somewhat of a consensus!
I've been thinking of trying to go a little younger since my core players are the oldest in the league, but I've just won for the 2nd time in the past 3 years and came runner up the other time, so I might just stick with the best players, trade leftovers for draft picks, and continue to draft well.
