Hahah, Kudos for having a sense of humor throughout the turmoil!

PS: do you have some stuff packed up in case you have to leave? This may sound crazy but if you do have to be evacuated (hopefully not), make sure to take many pictures of your house (inside/out), your belongings that are left behind (and where they were left) and try to document as much info as possible.

Here in Quebec, we were hit with some serious flooding in certain parts of the province. Water damage but also vandalism caused a huge amount of loss for many residents. Trying to get everything sorted out with insurance companies afterwards is that much easier if you have a good amount of info on your belongings in case anything happens to them while you are evacuated.

    Best of luck buddy!

Yep, i got 3 sets of clothes, i dont have much pictures here, just one box but ill make sure to grab it. all i have to do is pick up my stuff and put it in the truck. oh and take my furry little friend. hes 14 right now (poodle terrier) but hes relaxing and doesn't know all this crazy stuff going on lol. most of the business downtown are closed, mostly just grocery stores and gas stations open at the moment. the hospital is only taking emergency patients since they got evacuated the other day. the seniors home on the far end of town is apparently getting evacuated today, suppose to be about 50 people living there.

Nestle donated like 8 or so SKIDS of water by the cases. Got 2 yesterday. Still thought that was pretty cool.

Are businesses and most workplaces closed? Like a long-term snowday? Or is it ''business'' as usual?

Take it easy if your asthma is being affected by the smoke. At most I would stick to extremely light workouts on the treadmill, even just simple walking (just to keep the body moving a bit). I have asthma as well and I know what it's like to be completely exhausted after coughing non-stop for an entire day. You're dealing with enough as it is so simplify things and focus on getting through the day, regardless of what that ends up meaning.

yep all the mills are shut down. eye doctors is closed. one financial store is open, but mostly just restaurants and grocery stores open. some restaurants have closed until this is all resolved though. the super 8 motel on the south end of town is evacuated and the casino is right near there and it's closed down.

100 Mile House evacuated last night... had to evacuate to Prince George as the roads to Kamloops are closed due to another fire in that direction.

yeah... appreciate the efforts, but they have no training in how to properly do this. creating immediate dangers to themselves. After 2015, one wouldn't think there was much of BC left to burn.

Here's an interactive map showing all BC fires currently - including size.

i keep hearing stories of people putting themselves in danger like that to save their houses, like one guy was telling me those are replaceable things, u cannot replace ur life once it's lost. there are at least a couple dozen people staying put at my reserve 80 km west of williams lake even though they are on evacuation notice and are now calling for people to send them supplies and that they are in an emergency ... if they just LEFT like they were suppose to then this wouldn't happen. i understand you want to keep your house from burning down but no point in killing urself for it and making ur family grieve over all this. stressful enough time as it is.
