Well the good thing is that BC seems to be taking a more proactive approach with the hindsight of what happened in Fort Mac. Getting people evacuated earlier and coordinating things with a State of Emergency earlier.
you have to evacuate yet ?
Very scary. The main thing is no one parishes. Everything else can be replaced. As a naive city slicker, you would think that when there is a forest fire that everyone leaves and all are safe. Then you witness what happened in Portugal and realize that isn't the case at all. So many of those people were just trapped.
Be safe SM.
Hopefully some rain come soon. Stay safe StuntMan!

Pioneer Log Homes is ok. So much misinformation on facebook. People are quick to assume things, from the Airport burning down (false), Gas station outside WL blowing up (false) the whole indian reservation on fire (false) as they only lost one home and many false reports of Evacuation orders when theyre still on alert. I was believing most of it until now I question anything thats being said by a random joe. This is pretty stressful but cant wait for night to come so it will cool back down.
The pioneer shown in the video is their main site which is ok but their other site not far from there is the one thats burned down. dam.
Fire by the airport 1000 hectares in size and 0% contained
Fire by spokin lake road (30 mins outside of town) 100 hectares in size and 0% contained
Fire which is right by the lake and went by the indian reservation is 2000 hectares in size and 0% contained
am no fire expert but if all the fires are running wild and 0% contained that cannot be good. dam

Stay safe Stuntman. We're only a few hours away in Vernon. The skies have been pretty smokey here the last few days.
I recall being on evac alert a couple summers ago. A lot of anxiety. Fortunately never had to evacuate.
Wishing you, family , neighbors and friends all the best. Be safe.
33 here today, expecting 32 tomorrow with some wind.
