Will be interesting to see if he stays now. If he and Drouin can light it up....this is a GREAT Deal

This will be a great contract for whatever team acquires him.

not bad. am wondering if theyre still looking to trade him even with this recent signing
So basically a prove it, expensive bridgey-type contract. I like it. It gives Galchenyuk two-three years to show that he's a top line player and the Habs would have been in tough if they couldn't sign him.
"For I am a sinner in the hands of an angry God. Bloody Mary, full of vodka, blessed are you among cocktails. Pray for me now and at the hour of my death, which I hope is soon. Amen." - Sterling Archer
"Don't spray that urine on my sons window. If you want a dollar for doing nothing, walk to Canada." - Malory Archer
“Anyone who thinks the pen is mightier than the sword has not been stabbed with both.” - Lemony Snicket
It isn't a bridge deal since he will be a UFA at the end of the deal. Huge gamble that he will re-sign in Montreal in a few years instead of locking him up now.
I like the cap hit.
Big risk not taking any UFA years though.
Great deal for fantasy hockey, terrible deal for the Habs.
was surprised by all the trade speculation to begin with. there was a part in the season he was on pace for 70 pts if he played a full season then went through a rough stretch and had his coach put him on the 4th line to try and teach him a lesson or something. 70 pts for him should be a possibility in the near future if he can get his game together
I think this is an 'up yours' from Galchenyuk to the Habs. With the stupid line assignments and the trade talk it will serve them right when he walks as a UFA.
Comes out of it a UFA. Open contract so no NMC or NTC.
