If this is indeed the return VGK wanted for Methot, I can't see why OTT didn't pay something similar for Vegas to pass on him...

Methot was nothing special in Ottawa. Yes, he was a good teammate, well-liked and Karlsson's friend, but oh well.
This is a great trade for Dallas. They gave up nothing that I see being relevant for years and got a solid 3rd to 5th Dman.
