Default Saad or B. Schenn next year?

Who puts up more points next year? we don't know exactly how their both going to fit in the lineup. If Hitch was still in STL, I'ld automatically think Saad. But I'm kinda not sure.

Schenn, he will be playing in a pretty good top 6 and is a PP stud, STL said they want to start him at C if that means up with Schwartz/Tarasenko he could be line for a much best even strength point total

These two are pretty close. Edge to Schenn for me. He's been flirting around 60pts for 2 consecutive years and Saad's career high (even on higher flying CHI teams) is 53 pts. Schenn will lose out on having Giroux/Voracek/Simmonds on his PP but that changes to Tarasenko/Pietrangelo and he keeps his prime locked PP1 role so I don't see his PPP dropping that much. STL actually outscored PHI 235 to 219 last season and was better on the PP (21.28% to 19.49%)

Saad for me. Especially if he starts to get top power play minutes a I think he will considering what Chicago gave up to get him.

Sorry for being lazy but I keep seeing references to Schenn's 5 on 5 production but who were his regular line mates at even strength?

if it was either Simmonds or Giroux weren't both of their points totals made up of over 50% pp points? Guess my point is that Schenn is getting hammered for his 5 on 5 production but isn't that something you can levy at all the Flyers top forwards last season?

I would take Saad. Safer bet. If Schenn gets to center Tank for the season and sees top PP usage, he could outpoint Saad, but we don't know yet how he will be used in St Louis.

I'll take Saad. He's gonna play with Toews, and will finally be getting PP time. should get around 60-65 points. I don't see that much for schenn.

    GET WELL SOON, DOBBER.

saad. schenn's pp production was a product of Giroux, Voracek, Simmonds, Ghost. Ya he has tarasenko, but its not near the flyers pp which is always top 10.

If both had stayed with their respective teams I think I'd pick Schenn this upcoming season. Both have changed teams and I'm going with Saad, who not only knows a lot of the players in Chicago, but he knows the coach and the coach knows him. He should hit the ground running. We don't know anything about how Schenn will mesh with Stl teammates or with Yeo. The talent difference between the two seems to be minimal, you can make arguments either way and it would change year to year. So for this year, at least before we see them play actual hockey, I'm going with Saad.

    G - Jarry
