Vegas potential captain... Who do you think it will be?

I've narrowed down the players that I think could fit the bill from what they currently ''own''. I know this roster is not yet set in stone as a few moves are already rumored to happen shortly but I'm still curious to see what you guys and gals think here.

I didn't make a poll since I had too many different choices but below are the 5 I see fit here. You can also pick another player that is or is not currently part of their current team. You can also say that they will go without a captain in 2017-18.

Too early to call since there's still 3-4 months until they actually play a game.

If I had to call it now though, I'd say 50% chance they go without. Other 50% goes to Cody Eakin.

Thorburn is UFA and unlikely to play for Vegas IMO.

Neal and Methot are likely gone before end of this week.

I think they go without a captain. By the way, Shipachyov could easily get a letter as well. He's been 'C' or 'A' for SKA in the KHL and also many times during international tournaments for Team Russia. He's also likely to be one of their best players, so it makes sense to give him an 'A' at least.

I almost added him to my list, especially since he was signed by them prior to the official selection. However, the fact that he lived there but didn't already have a letter in Calgary, I felt it may not be enough to give him the C (maybe an A though).

I guess we will see

Good call for Shipa... Maybe if they can get Dadonov, they make Shipachyov the poster boy and promote SKA's top line as their own!

He was the "substitute" A though. Should have had an A over waste of space Brouwer. And Calgary had a lot more options than Vegas theoretically has.

Obviously it will be the cornerstone of their franchise: Marc-Andre Fleury.

In all seriousness I see them signing a 30+ year old vet to a 2-3 year deal and giving him the "C"

Two options:

1) they go without a captain for a year or two.
2) they name Fleury the captain, and we all know how that went in Vancouver. so likely no captain.

Methot makes the most sense to me but I am skeptical he is on the Vegas roster come opening night.
